1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Carr Identity Group LLC (“Carr Identity Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information through the ReplaceHQ iOS application and this website.
ReplaceHQ is a reminder utility. It is not a maintenance professional, safety inspector, manufacturer, or substitute for required inspections and service.
2. Information we may handle
Information you enter in the app
- Item names, descriptions, visible product details, categories, brands, and model information.
- Replacement schedules, dates, optional locations, and replacement history.
- Item photos you choose to capture or import.
- Saved locations, notification preferences, and app settings.
Account information
ReplaceHQ does not currently require or offer an app account for core use. Cloud backup and multi-device sync are not active in the current release.
Purchase information
Apple processes ReplaceHQ Pro purchases. ReplaceHQ may receive product identifiers, verified entitlement status, transaction status, and expiration information through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Website information
This static website does not currently offer accounts, forms, advertising, or analytics. Vercel may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
3. How app data is processed
Local records and photos
SwiftData records and selected image files are stored in ReplaceHQ’s private app container on your device. The app remains useful without an account or network connection.
AI item identification
When you deliberately choose to scan a photo, ReplaceHQ may resize and compress that selected image and send it through a protected Supabase Edge Function to OpenAI. The request includes a randomly generated installation identifier used for bounded abuse controls. The provider result is an editable draft that you must confirm before saving.
ReplaceHQ does not send your complete tracked inventory, replacement history, saved locations, or notification schedule to OpenAI. Manual entry remains available if you do not want to use provider-backed identification.

Notifications
Reminder requests are scheduled through Apple’s local notification system. Turning notifications off does not delete or hide your schedules inside the app.
Cloud backup
Cloud backup is not active. Before any account or cloud-sync feature is enabled, ReplaceHQ will provide clear consent, ownership, retention, and deletion controls.
4. Service providers and disclosures
Depending on the feature you choose, information may be processed by:
- Apple for StoreKit, notifications, device services, and App Store distribution.
- Supabase for the protected item-analysis Edge Function and related request controls.
- OpenAI for item-photo identification you deliberately request.
- Vercel for hosting and securing this website.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use item or photo data for behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate protections.
5. Your choices and controls
- Use ReplaceHQ without an account.
- Add every item manually instead of using AI identification.
- Review and edit every AI-generated field before saving.
- Control notification permission through iOS Settings.
- Edit or delete individual items and their associated local data.
- Delete all local ReplaceHQ data through Settings.
- Manage or cancel ReplaceHQ Pro through Apple subscription settings.

6. Retention and security
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, or the operating system removes app data. Photos or other copies you export, share, or save elsewhere are outside the app’s control.
Provider-backed requests may be retained as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with law, subject to provider configurations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no storage or transmission system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Children
ReplaceHQ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can evaluate the request.
8. International use and legal rights
Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to submit a request. We may need to verify your identity.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as ReplaceHQ changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material new cloud, analytics, advertising, or photo-processing behavior will be disclosed before it is enabled.
